{Worry}

Hello. My name is Michelle and I'm a worrier. Yes, I worry about too many things.

I think as a mother this is something that is just ingrained in us. Did I sanitize everything properly, is she growing quickly enough, is she learning enough? Do I spend enough time reading too her or do I feed her the right things? Am I teaching her how to be kind and loving...am I teaching her to share?

I'm not going to lie...these are questions (along with about a zillion others) that cross my mind each and everyday.

My latest and greatest....is she saying enough words? For the last few weeks I have been obsessed with the idea that the girl is not speaking enough. Don't get me wrong...she babbles and babbles and babbles some more (typical girl) but actually words...is she actually saying enough of them. Well the other night at work while chatting with a dear friend (who also happens to be a nurse practitioner) I asked her what I should be expecting of Averee. Well to my shock the average 18 month old speaks somewhere between 5-20 words (this was also confirmed by her Pediatrician this week). That's it?!? Well no wonder I've been worried....for some reason I had in my head that she should be speaking many many more and even worse...I realized that I don't give Av proper credit for all the words she does say...

She says about 30 words....she can sign the word more, which she does when she is hungry and she has even combined a few things like "juice please" or "what's that". She understands almost everything we say and she listens (most of the time).

Yeah...I was worried about this little cutie.

Parenting.

Is there something that is always on your mind in regards to your child/ren?

***Just thought it was important to note there is almost always a level of sarcasim in my post's. And as always I can be a bit dramatic. :) ***

{Guess What Came Today!?!}

Remember way back when I told you about a deal on Tanga (You can see my post, A little Shape, here) but it was my first time every using it? Well my first Shape magazine arrived today so I am now a huge fan of Tanga! Just thought you all would like to know.

Now time to read up on how to get beach body ready for the summer...I think I could use a few well wish with this one!

{Project Nursery}: Shabby Chic

So I just couldn't do it...I couldn't stay away from all the girly glory of a baby girls nursery. This week I promise you will not be disappointed. This nursery is one of the most thought out, most gorgeous, most girly nursery I have ever seen.

I had the honor of meeting the creator of this adorable nursery a little over a year ago through a mutual friend. Rebecca is such a sweet woman and if you have followed along the RLM you have actually meet her before. She is the owner of Sweet & Chic Bowtique (my favorite bow headquarters!). Rebecca is just oozing with talent and her precious baby girls nursery shows her precision to detail.

So here it is....a little bit of Shabby....a little bit of Chic...

I am just dieing over this gorgeous dresser! And I am totally in love with the shape of the mirror!
Swoon.

This sweet little table is just perfect and I adore the black framed mirror.

This is just beautiful. Rebecca combined some antiques with some other fabulous finds to create this darling display.

There is so much in the photo that I love. The bedding, the rug, the striped wall and how could you miss the stunning letters above the crib!

How adorable is this chair!

These letters deserve a photo all to themselves. Rebecca took elements from throughout the room from Emerson's bedding to her glider and incorporated it into each letter. Oh and the beautiful saying across the top of her crib...Vinyl lettering of course!

And to top off Rebecca's amazing talents she is now a Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot! If you are not familiar with Stella & Dot you need to head to Rebecca's Stella & Dot facebook page! Amazing!

Thank you Rebecca for sharing your daughter's gorgeous nursery! I think we can all agree that we really enjoyed it!

What it is your favorite part? For me I just can't decide...but I think it is that sweet little chair!

**All photos provided by Rebecca. Sweet & Chic Bowtique is currently closed for a little break. Become a fan of her Facebook page though for information when she reopens. She is taking a little break to give a little extra love to her sweet little girl who is, as Rebecca said, in the thick of her terrible twos....I think we can all relate! Thanks again Rebecca for sharing!**

{Save the Dates} Gorgeous Idea!

So I love weddings! I love the planning, the ceremony and the celebrating. I love how warm and fuzzy I feel every time I attend a wedding. I love when I receive a beautiful envelope in the mail with an even more beautiful invitation inside.

So it is no wonder that I love reading, All the Lacy Details. Miss Cuddlefish (who also happens to  be my sweet cousin) has so many amazing ideas and totally has an eye for the details. So it is no surprise that her save the dates are phenomenal...but guess what....She even went as far as to make them herself! Amazing.

Every detail is just perfect all the way down to the digital calligraphy for the address'. And what I think is super amazing is that her save the dates are actually a book mark, which I know I am always in need of!

You can check out the Sneak Peak where Miss C shows you all the supplies needed and then check out her final Save the Date post.

Miss Cuddlefish really did a super fantastic job! Head on over to All the Lacy Details and leave a little RLM love.

Oh yeah and did I mention....I get to attend this wedding! Yeah...I'm excited!

{Tomato Soup} Oh, the possiblities.

Tomato soup. I'm a fan. I always have been. I remember growing up and cooking tomato soup with a nice grilled cheese sandwich, dunking said sandwich until every last drop was gone. Mmmmmm.

My absolute favorite way to eat this delectable soup is served over a nice bowl of elbow noodles. Yummmmm.

It is a simple, hearty yet healthy meal. And guess what...Averee loves it too!

Here's are some of the great benefits of tomato soup...
  • Lycopene. Tomatoes are packed full of this and the great part about that is it has been linked to helping protect the body against cancer!
  • Chromium. Tomatoes contain this mineral which helps to regulate blood sugar.
  • No saturated fat or cholesterol. Plus it is low in calories.
  • Tomatoes help reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.
When I make our yummy elbow (sometimes shells!) macaroni and tomato soup I add a can of fat free milk to the soup to make it a little more creamy while also giving us a nice dose of calcium. I then sprinkle some cheese on top for a bit of protein. And finally I add a little dash of crushed red pepper for some spice (of course I leave this off of Averee's).

Tomato Soup with Shells.

Yum.

She loves it so much that I couldn't even get her to smile. She was too busy bringing the spoon to her mouth for the next bite.

Not only is it yummy and healthy but it is very inexpensive too! For one can of soup and 1 box of noodles (which I usually can use that one box for about 3 meals) I spend around $2.50. Not too shabby.

Another rendition of this deliciousness is with diced tomatoes instead of tomato soup.

Bon Appetit!

{Touch UP} Tuesday

Well if you guys know anything about me you know that as soon as I received my little black beauty in the mail I had to get right to work! So I did and this is what I got...

I am in L.O.V.E. (With my camera and with those two beauties!)

Here was the SOOC:

I did a simple crop, added a bit of contrast and lightened them up a bit. Added a little more saturation and then warmed the whole photo up!

I'm linking up here this week.
